MEDIA TEAM JOB DESCRIPTION:

Brief Description: Pali Adventures and Pali Institute rely heavily on a number of different digital mediums for marketing purposes. The content produced at camp must be of a high quality.Team Members are responsible for documenting a campers experience by creating weekly and bi-weekly videos in addition to capturing photos of the campers experience.

This requires Team Members to visit various activity sites when they are in operation and capture content of campers enjoying their activities and the camp experience. The gathered content must then be edited into one cohesive session video or school video as well as the daily and weekly photo uploads.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in both photography and video capture Editing photo and video to a high technical standard. Exhibit characteristics of: Responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.

Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/31/2021.Desire and ability to work with children.

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. All staff members must have the ability to respond immediately to an emergency. Any staff member with a disability that may affect the Staff Member's ability to physically perform these requirements should immediately inform the Human Resources Department to determine possible reasonable accommodations.

JOB REQUIREMENTSESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Report directly to the Media Director.

Film and photograph campers as they enjoy their specialties, afternoon activities, evening activities and general camp life.Collaborate with other Team Members to ensure that all required content is gathered each week.Edit all content to produce a high-energy reel, highlighting all of the key moments from the camper's week at camp.Work as a member of a team.Work to a tight schedule meeting all deadlines.Work efficiently with the Final Cut Pro and Adobe Lightroom Classic editing programs. Upload video and photos to the relevant Pali servers.

Attend Pali Adventures staff training (June 8 June 13, 2021).Other duties as assigned by the Media Director.

STAFF BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:

Practice clean communication.Adhere to camp uniform policy.Staff member will not give campers their real names before, during or after their employment contract ends.Camp staff must under no circumstance be under the influence of or in possession of any drugs, alcohol or tobacco products.Ability to accept supervision and guidance.

Complaints and concerns go UP the chain of command. Disparaging remarks about others are not permitted.

Camp staff will not use objectionable language.The staff member will always participate in the assigned activities with enthusiasm.
